-AREA SEARCH/BUILDING SEARCH-

Tactical building/area entries - The officer must enter the building/area with the canine but will only move forward when the canine has cleared an area/room.

In this task the canine will be trained to search a building/area independent of the officer. The canine will bite and hold anyone that is in the area/building until commanded to let go. Upon command the dog will then release the suspect and return to the handlers side. If the canine is unable to reach the suspect (the suspect is hiding behind a closed door, up high, etc....) then it will bark to give indication to where the suspect may be found.

The dog can be trained to search and hold and bark if the state certifications are set to this standard.
